For 40 years, Hope Air has helped Canada deliver on its promise of universal healthcare by ensuring distance and cost never stand between Canadians and the medical care they need. By arranging flights, accommodations, and ground transportation, Hope Air removes barriers for patients who must travel far from home for treatment, helping ensure geography is not a barrier to healthcare. Since inception, Hope Air has supported over 106,000 patient and caregiver trips and facilitated over 277,000 medical travel arrangements for Canadians who needed to reach care far from home.

This impact is made possible through the support of partners who believe that where someone lives should never determine whether they can access healthcare. Since the organization’s earliest days, the R. Howard Webster Foundation has played an important role in helping make this work possible. As Hope Air celebrates four decades of service, the Foundation is proud to be recognized as a Hope Air Patron, the highest distinction awarded by the organization.

The Foundation’s support dates back to Hope Air’s formative years. In 1987, its first grant to Mission Air provided early operational support at a critical moment, helping the organization strengthen its systems and outreach as it worked to grow and serve more patients across Canada. Over the decades, the Foundation has continued to support Hope Air’s growth, helping the organization expand its reach and respond to increasing patient need.
