Arts Umbrella is proud to be Canada’s largest multi-disciplinary arts education centre, where young artists ages 2–22 can cultivate their creativity in Dance, Theatre, and Art & Design. When young people are inspired through creative expression, they gain skills they carry with them for life. Accessible arts education empowers young people, supports their personal development, and shows they belong in the beauty of shared humanity. Arts Umbrella recognizes that art education is not within reach for all families, and addresses this reality by serving 15,000 young people at little to no cost every year.
Arts Umbrella depends on the community it serves to give all young people the opportunity to live life to the fullest and unlock their creative potential. The demand for accessible arts education continues to increase each year, with more schools and partners waitlisted for its programs. Thanks to supporters like the R. Howard Webster Foundation, Arts Umbrella is closer to its goal of bringing the joy of creative expression to all young people – so every young person’s unique creative spark is ignited, no matter their circumstances.
